There's no place like home for the Grapevine Mustangs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Tuesday. They managed a  77-72 victory over Birdville  on Friday. The  win was all the more spectacular given Grapevine's disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 550th, while Birdville is ranked 123rd).
 Grapevine found their leader in underclassman  David Coe, who  scored 37 points along with seven  assists and six  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Coe has scored all season.  Matthew E woodcock was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 12 points and 12  rebounds.
 Grapevine's win  ended a five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 9-17. As for Birdville, they have  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grapevine will  square off against Ryan at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Ryan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Birdville, they will head out on the road to  take on  Denton at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
