After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ridge Point, The Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Fort Bend Bush by a score of 14-7. For Fort Bend Austin, this counts as revenge for the 42-7 defeat Fort Bend Bush walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Bend Austin to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Bishop, who rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Bishop was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Koen Herrmann and his 102 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Fort Bend Austin's victory.
Fort Bend Austin now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Fort Bend Bush, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Austin will challenge Fort Bend Hightower at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Bend Bush, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Bend Travis at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Fort Bend Travis presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fort Bend Bush in Texas (Fort Bend Travis is ranked 280th, while Fort Bend Bush is ranked 729th).
