After a string of three wins, the Fruitport Trojans's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were dealt a 72-43 defeat at the hands of Whitehall. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fruitport has scored all season.
It was another big night for Camden Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 24 rebounds for Whitehall. The contest was Thompson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Camar Ready was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Fruitport's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Whitehall, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fruitport will take on Spring Lake at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Whitehall is on the road again on January 5, 2024 and play against Ludington at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
