The Benjamin Franklin Chargers will head out on the road to square off against the Coolidge Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Last Thursday, Benjamin Franklin made easy work of Bourgade Catholic and carried off a 50-25 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Benjamin Franklin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Celest Chege, who posted 15 points. Those 15 points gave Chege a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacey Blair, who put up 17 points.
Meanwhile, Coolidge waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Sentinels 51-26. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 25 points or more this season.
Coolidge's win came from a few key players Benjamin Franklin will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alaysia White, who dropped a triple-double with ten points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 46 times she's played. Naylissa Charles was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards.
Coolidge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive contests.
Coolidge's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 43.8 points. As for Benjamin Franklin, their record is now 11-14.
Benjamin Franklin ended up a good deal behind Coolidge when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 60-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of White, who dropped a triple-double with 32 points, 13 rebounds, and 17 steals.
