After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dwight-Englewood, the New Milford Knights were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Waldwick 62-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Luis Placido continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaurys Beato, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
New Milford has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Waldwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
New Milford will head out on the road to take on Palisades Park at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Palisades Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 412th, while New Milford is ranked 197th). As for Waldwick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kinnelon at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
