Football Recap: Beggs Victorious

Beggs won the last time they faced Henryetta and things went their way on Friday too. The Demons snuck past the Knights with a 26-20 win.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Will Perez, who rushed for 78 yards and one score, and also picked up 37 receiving yards and one touchdown. Another passer making a difference was Nakona Johnson, who threw for 171 yards and a pair of TDs on only 16 passes.

The victory got Beggs back to even at 1-1. As for Henryetta, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beggs will venture away from home to face off against Okmulgee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Henryetta, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morris at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
