Satsuma has gone a perfect 7-0 against Excel recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Gators will challenge the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Satsuma will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Satsuma needed a bit of extra time to put away Cottage Hill Christian Academy. They skirted past the Warriors 9-8. The game was the first time the Gators have beaten the Warriors on their field since March 18, 2017.

Cooper Crenshaw made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
Crenshaw wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Darius Kapua, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run. Another was Joshua Fraser, who earned three RBI.
Meanwhile, Excel was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 13-9 win over Sweet Water. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Like Satsuma, Excel also got a great game from a two-way player: Greyson Nettles. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Nettles has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one double.
Excel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Satsuma's record is now 14-6. As for Excel, their record now sits at 16-4.
Everything went Satsuma's way against Excel in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, as Satsuma made off with a 12-2 victory. Will the Gators repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
