The Palmetto Tigers will be playing at home against the Manatee Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Palmetto's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 54-30 loss to Parrish Community might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Palmetto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Parrish Community is ranked 84th).
Meanwhile, Manatee unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 43-31 to North Port. Manatee has not had much luck with North Port recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Palmetto has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Manatee, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
Palmetto beat Manatee 48-40 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Does Palmetto have another victory up their sleeve, or will Manatee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
