The Belleview Rattlers won the last time they faced the South Sumter Raiders, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Belleview skirted past South Sumter 23-21. The win made it back-to-back wins for Belleview.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Belleview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Albanis Mogollon, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mogollon has scored at least 25% of Belleview's points. Another player making a difference was Madison Douglas, who scored 3 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals.
Belleview's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for South Sumter, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Belleview won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Citrus at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Citrus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for South Sumter, they will head out on the road to face off against Leesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
