The Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers won the last time they faced the Wright Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Lingle-Fort Laramie came out on top in a nail-biter against Wright and snuck past 41-38.
Lingle-Fort Laramie was led to victory by Natalie Speckner and Skyla Wunder. Speckner dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Wunder scored 13 points along with five steals. The match was Speckner's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenly Shipp, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Lingle-Fort Laramie pushed their record up to 5-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wright, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Lingle-Fort Laramie will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Big Horn at 9:00 a.m. on January 6th. Wright won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pine Bluffs at 10:00 a.m. on January 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Pine Bluffs is ranked 17th, while Wright is ranked 31st).
