Pioneer is 9-1 against Triton since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Panthers will take on the Trojans at 10:00 a.m. Pioneer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Pioneer is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Rochester on Thursday. They lost 10-2 to the Zebras. The Panthers have struggled against the Zebras recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Noah Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Triton got the win against Elkhart Christian Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 11-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Ryder Goodman was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Pioneer, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Pioneer has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Triton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Pioneer was able to grind out a solid win over Triton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 9-6. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
