After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bastrop, the Marksville Tigers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against North Central by a score of 58-45. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Marksville's 18-point performance the matchup before.
Marksville found their leader in underclassman Laylla Dorsey, who scored 25 points along with 5 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dorsey has scored at least 25% of Marksville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Francisco, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Marksville's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for North Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marksville will face off against Opelousas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Comeaux at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th.
