Eastwood has won five straight games at home, while Tinora has won five straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Eagles will welcome the Rams at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Eastwood's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
Last Wednesday, Eastwood got the win against Rossford by a conclusive 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.
MacKenzie Hady made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Hady was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Maddie Hartman was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Karly Wasserman, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Tinora sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Antwerp on Thursday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Archers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Zoe Billings spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Paige Gamby, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Tinora's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Eastwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
Eastwood might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from Tinora when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
