Volleyball Recap: Erie Gets the Win

Erie won the last time they faced Labette County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Red Devils came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of 2-0.

Erie easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12.

Lila Michael paced Erie's offense, picking up six kills. Michael got some help from Kaeleigh Daniels and her 11 assists. Daniels also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Andi Nordt, racking up two apiece.

Erie is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Labette County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Erie has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Chanute on the 20th. As for Labette County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Girard on the 20th.
