Wakefield extended the longest winning streak in 4A Cap Eight this week by beating Millbrook, 54-21. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Wolverines.
Wake Forest-Rolesville's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cameron Fray threw for 21 yards and Sam Newhouse had 18 yards receiving. On the ground Bryce Love chipped in 119 yards. Taylor Bagley helped Wake Forest-Rolesville's passing attack out by catching one ball for three yards.
Kyle Montgomery made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Cougars defeated Enloe. The 6-foot-2 senior recorded one fumble.
Heritage's Blake Walters and Greg Clifton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Walters has thrown for 508 yards this season, while Clifton has seven catches for 107 yards. Wake Forest-Rolesville's Petey Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 403.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Leesville Road takes on Wakefield. At the moment, the Pride are in third, while Rod Sink's team is in first.
Heritage led 4A Cap Eight in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Sanderson.
