Baseball Recap: East Side Has No Trouble Against University

East Side had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt University on Wednesday. The Red Raiders blew past the Phoenix 16-2. Considering the Red Raiders have won nine matches by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

East Side's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for University, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Side will face off against Golda Och Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Golda Och Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.8 runs per game on average), something East Side will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for University, they are taking a road trip to square off against North Star Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
