The Washington Eagles waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 59-54 win over Lowell. For Washington, this counts as revenge for the 44-40 loss Lowell walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Korey Abantao was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Quadir Jules, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Lowell, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will take on Galileo at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for Lowell, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. Lowell is on a five-game streak of home wins, Lincoln a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
