Aeson Hawks posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Lakeview is 2-1 when Hawks allows two or fewer earned runs, but 6-10 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Hawks and Lakeview will square off against Grand Ledge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
