In what's become a running theme this season, the Denmark-Olar Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 73-44 victory over Blackville-Hilda at home. Winning may never get old, but Denmark-Olar sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Denmark-Olar was led to victory by Tykeen Ross and Terrance Hinton. Ross dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds, while Hinton scored 22 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Ross is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Robert Bovain, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Denmark-Olar's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Blackville-Hilda, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Denmark-Olar will head out on the road to square off against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler and Denmark-Olar are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Blackville-Hilda, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ridge Spring-Monetta at 8:00 p.m. Ridge Spring-Monetta is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
