The Neshaminy Skins will head out on the road to take on the Conestoga Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Neshaminy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
After a string of six wins, Neshaminy's good fortune finally ran out. They took a serious blow against Upper Dublin, falling 73-46. While losing is never fun, Neshaminy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Upper Dublin is ranked 37th).
Neshaminy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Logan Gale, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds, and Nate Townsend who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. It was the first time this season that Gale pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Max Currie, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Conestoga came up short against Garnet Valley on Tuesday and fell 59-50.
Neshaminy's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8. As for Conestoga, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.
Neshaminy won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in January, slipping by Conestoga 49-48. Does Neshaminy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Conestoga turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
