Bishop Kelly is 2-8 against Skyview since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Knights will face off against the Hawks at 3:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bishop Kelly comes in on four and Skyview on five.
Bishop Kelly is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Columbia 23-6 on Thursday. With that win, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.

Jamison Lamott-Strasser made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Jamison Smith looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Bishop Kelly got a massive performance out of Lucas Blaine, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Blaine has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Keck, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Bishop Kelly was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .303 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Skyview made easy work of Columbia on Tuesday and carried off a 7-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won three matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Elijah Strong looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mason Krahn, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Nixon Downs also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Skyview's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Kelly, their record now sits at 5-7.
Bishop Kelly couldn't quite finish off Skyview when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 9-7. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
