After flying high against the Samson Tigers last Thursday, the Cottonwood Bears came back down to earth. Cottonwood was beaten by Carroll 68-36 on Monday. Cottonwood has not had much luck with Carroll recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Carroll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lakeith Person led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten assists. That's the first time this season that Person posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Culver, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Cottonwood has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Carroll, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
