Carrabec is 1-6 against Buckfield since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Cobras will be playing at home against the Bucks at 10:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Buckfield will be up against a hot Carrabec team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Cobras blew past Forest Hills 10-3 on Thursday.

Jillian Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Carrabec let Aiyana Tibbetts and Amiya Tibbetts run wild. Aiyana went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Amiya went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Amiya is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Karen Baker, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Buckfield entered their tilt with Old Orchard Beach on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Seagulls with a sharp 11-1 win. That's two games straight that the Bucks have won by exactly ten runs.
Carmen Crockett made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Crockett was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Chloee Bennett was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season. Brittany Carrier was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Buckfield hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matches.
Buckfield pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carrabec, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Carrabec has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .522. However, it's not like Buckfield struggles in that department as they've averaged .458. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Carrabec might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Buckfield in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Cobras have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
