Volleyball Recap: Abilene's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Abilene lost against Clay Center last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cowboys fell 2-0 to the Tigers. The Cowboys' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Makenna Stover paced Abilene's offense, picking up six kills. Stover got some help from Rylee Miller and her 14 assists. Stover was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Abilene's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Clay Center, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 30-2.

Coincidentally, Abilene and Clay Center will both be playing Kingman the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cowboys will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
