4A Special District 1 recap October 22, 2013
Ridgeview added to the longest winning streak in 4A Special District 1 this week by beating Cleveland, 43-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Ravens.
Ridgeview took down the Warriors 43-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jacob Johnson threw for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
Andy codding's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Tanner Stevens contributed 139 yards. Colton Jolley helped Ridgeview's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 17 yards.
Stevens was a passing and rushing force as the Ravens defeated Cleveland. Stevens' key target this week was Jack Bowman, who caught 6 passes for 101 yards.
Bowman was the best receiver in the league this week as Ridgeview topped Wayne Harris' team. Bowman racked up 6 receptions for 101 yards. Jolley helped Ridgeview's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 17 yards.
Ridgeview's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Ravens feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 439 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Bowman has 21 catches for 374 yards.
Boomer Fleming of the the Ravens is just 91 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 125 carries Fleming has put up 909 yards this year.
Ridgeview led the league in scoring this week by notching 43 points on the Warriors. Johnson during the win.
