The IDEA Bluff Springs Bats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Valor South Austin Falcons at 6:45 p.m. on January 16th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, IDEA Bluff Springs beat IDEA Kyle 43-39. The victory was just what IDEA Bluff Springs needed coming off of a 60-20 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Valor South Austin had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.9 points), and they went ahead and made it 15 on Friday. They claimed a resounding 71-8 win over Harmony School Of Excellence-Austin at home. Valor South Austin has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 23 points or more this season.
Jason Guerrero continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with three steals and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Brycen Hee, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
IDEA Bluff Springs' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Valor South Austin, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
