The Broomfield Eagles won the last time they faced the Rocky Mountain Lobos, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Broomfield came out on top against Rocky Mountain by a score of 55-45. With that victory, Broomfield brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Broomfield found their leader in underclassman Paige Gilpatrick, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Gilpatrick has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ej Harper, who scored 18 points.
Despite the loss, Rocky Mountain still got an impressive performance from Morgen Delap, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kenna Wagner, who scored five points along with seven assists and five steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Broomfield and bumps their season record up to 12-4. As for Rocky Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
Broomfield will head out on the road to take on Monarch at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rocky Mountain, they will be playing at home against Erie at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Erie is ranked 23rd, while Rocky Mountain is ranked 33rd).
