The Miramar Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 83-53 victory over Monarch on the road. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Miramar had established a 22 point advantage.
Zayvian Bieger was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Skinner, who scored 18 points along with seven blocks.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cody Dinnall, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. Samari Reed was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 11 rebounds and six steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Miramar and bumps their season record up to 13-11. As for Monarch, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miramar and the Hurricanes will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Northeast presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Patriots in Florida (the Hurricanes are ranked 76th, while the Patriots are ranked 225th). As for Monarch, they and the Spartans will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
