Bremen's Tyler Banovich recorded the longest rushing play in South Suburban - Blue this season in his game against Oak Forest last week. Banovich's team bested the Bengals as he sprinted for 69 yards on the play and finished with 90 in all.
Bremen extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Oak Forest, 19-12. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
The Braves' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Banovich threw for 119 yards and Sean Grant had 46 yards receiving. On the ground Banovich contributed 90 yards. Louis Johnson helped Bremen's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 35 yards.
Banovich was the most successful running back in the league this week. Drequan Ross-Brown also contributed to the rushing game with 57 yards on the ground.
Bremen's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Braves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Banovich has thrown for 643 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Grant has 11 catches for 211 yards.
A big matchup in South Suburban - Blue this week will be when Bremen takes on Hillcrest. As it stands, the Braves are in first, while the Hawks are in seventh.
Bremen made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,700 from 4,526. The advance stemmed from a 19-12 victory over Brian Mcdonough's team last week.
