Another reason for the win was Daniel's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Tallah Eison and Bryson Freeman, who racked up four sacks between them. With that strong performance, Eison is now averaging an impressive 5.1 total tackles per game.
Meanwhile, Dreher played a tough contest two weeks ago in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by South Pointe and fell 42-0. The Blue Devils' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Daniel's record now sits at 9-1. As for Dreher, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Daniel has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 418.2 total yards per game. It's a different story for Dreher, though, as they've been averaging only 142.4 total yards. Will Daniel be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Blue Devils flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Daniel against Dreher in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 45-14 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
