The Flint Hills Christian Warriors lost against the Onaga Buffaloes back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Flint Hills Christian took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Onaga. Flint Hills Christian has not had much luck with Onaga recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Onaga can attribute much of their success to Jackson Kolterman, who scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Graham Valburg, who scored 11 points.
Flint Hills Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Onaga, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flint Hills Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Veritas Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Onaga, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Onaga in Kansas (Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool is ranked 72nd, while Onaga is ranked 310th).
