Irene/Wakonda will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Chester at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Irene/Wakonda were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Hanson 57-12. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-6.
Meanwhile, Chester found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-26 punch to the gut against Baltic last week.
Irene/Wakonda's win lifted them to 2-0 while Chester's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Irene/Wakonda can add another positive mark to their record or if Chester can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Irene/Wakonda's step.
