Bay State - Herget recap Oct. 23, 2012
Walpole extended the longest winning streak in Bay State - Herget this week by beating Needham, 31-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Rebels.
Wellesley moved up to 116 from 154 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Raiders were able to make move up by topping Newton North 21-7.
Natick's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Troy Flutie threw for 296 and four touchdowns and Brian Dunlap had 191 yards receiving. On the ground Nick Lee chipped in 102 yards. Andrew Boynton helped Natick's passing attack out by catching two balls for 59 yards.
Natick's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Redhawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Flutie has thrown for 1477 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Dunlap has 41 catches for 794 yards. Flutie also leads the league in rushing with 555 yards.
Milton and Framingham played the most hotly contested game in Bay State - Herget this week, with Milton eventually emerging with a 10-6 victory.
