The Lyman Memorial Bulldogs can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 56-32 margin over Putnam. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lyman Memorial.
Lyman Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jenny Lopez led the charge by scoring 19 points along with six assists and four steals. Lopez is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoebe Carpenter, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Lyman Memorial's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Putnam, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Lyman Memorial will be playing at home against Bolton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Bolton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday. As for Putnam, they will head out on the road to face off against Harvard Ellis Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvard Ellis Tech's defense has only allowed 26.2 points per game this season, so Putnam's offense will have their work cut out for them.
