Softball Recap: Masterman Has No Trouble Against Girard Academic Music Program

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nueva Esperanza, Masterman was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Girard Academic Music Program Pioneers with a sharp 33-20 win. Masterman hasn't had any issues with Girard Academic Music Program recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Masterman picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Girard Academic Music Program, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Masterman and Science Leadership Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:15 p.m. on the 21st. Masterman's pitchers better be ready for this one: Science Leadership Academy has averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Girard Academic Music Program, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kensington at 3:15 p.m. on the 22nd. The KENSINGTON TIGER have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18 runs per game on average), something the Pioneers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
