North Ridgeville is 3-0 against Valley Forge since August of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. North Ridgeville can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Steele 36-0 at home. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point North Ridgeville had established a 30 point advantage.
North Ridgeville relied on the efforts of Joey Wilson, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and Charlie Steinmetz, who gained 95 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Valley Forge lost to Holy Name at home by a decisive 30-16 margin on Friday.
Despite their loss, Valley Forge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Daniel Kiewel, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, was perhaps the best of all. Kiewel was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards.
The win makes it two in a row for North Ridgeville and bumps their season record up to 7-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-7 Steele (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 45% over those games). As for Valley Forge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
