Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Patterson Mill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Rising Sun on Thursday by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Amanda Redmiles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks.
On the hitting side, Patterson Mill's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ava Ward, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Bohemia Manor pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Patterson Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Both Bohemia Manor and Patterson Mill just can't seem to miss. The Eagles have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Patterson Mill struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
