The South Hagerstown Rebels pushed their score all the way to 64 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of North Hagerstown by a score of 67-64. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Hagerstown in their matchups with North Hagerstown: they've now lost five in a row.
Nas Keyes was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with seven rebounds and six steals for North Hagerstown. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Will Bonds, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds.
South Hagerstown now has a losing record at 1-2. As for North Hagerstown, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Hagerstown's road trip will continue as they head out to face Linganore at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. As for North Hagerstown, they will take on Urbana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Urbana focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
