The New Paltz Huguenots''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 34-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spackenkill. New Paltz was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Spackenkill apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2017.
Despite the loss, New Paltz still got an impressive performance from Nick Horowitz, who rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 67 yards and a touchdown. Horowitz really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Spackenkill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryan Hoyt, who rushed for 82 yards on only five carries, and also threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Daniel Collins jr. also helped with two touchdowns in total.
New Paltz's loss was their sixth straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.0 points per game. As for Spackenkill, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
New Paltz does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Spackenkill also has no future games currently scheduled.
