The Orleans Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Borden Braves with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Orleans snuck past Borden with a 44-40 win on Thursday. For Orleans, this counts as revenge for the 49-37 defeat Borden walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Mylie Knight was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Callie Alston, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Orleans' win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. As for Borden, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orleans will take on Lanesville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Borden, they will head out on the road to square off against South Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Borden is ranked 31st).
