The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Papillion-LaVista South Titans at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln Southwest will be strutting in after a victory while Papillion-LaVista South will be coming in after a defeat.

Lincoln Southwest is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since January 23rd on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Elkhorn South, sneaking past 58-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Silver Hawks.

Lincoln Southwest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxyn Cruse, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave Cruse a new career-high in points. Uzziah Sanders was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 17 points.

Meanwhile, Papillion-LaVista South came up short against Millard South on Tuesday and fell 63-55. The loss was the Titans' first of the season.

Lincoln Southwest pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Papillion-LaVista South, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Lincoln Southwest skirted past Papillion-LaVista South 67-64 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Papillion-LaVista South's Bryson Bahl, who shot 9-for-17 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 37 points and ten rebounds.
