Wilber-Clatonia has struggled against Freeman recently, as their match on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Wilber-Clatonia's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Zajicek, who scored 14 points. Zajicek continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Carter Skleba was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Wilber-Clatonia's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-8. As for Freeman, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
Wilber-Clatonia will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmyra at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freeman, they will face off against Glenwood at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Glenwood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 267 points over their last four games.
