The Fisher Catholic Irish will be taking part in a tournament against the Northside Christian Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fisher Catholic will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Fisher Catholic's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Shekinah Christian 13-0. The result was nothing new for the Irish, who have now won nine matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Lauren Kersell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Kersell was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, Northside Christian fell victim to Madison Christian and their airtight pitching crew two weeks ago. They lost 15-0 to the Eagles. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Fisher Catholic pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northside Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Northside Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fisher Catholic has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Northside Christian, though, as they've been averaging 13.8 hits. Given Fisher Catholic's sizable advantage in that area, the Lions will need to find a way to close that gap. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
