The Hononegah Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Harlem Huskies at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Wednesday, Hononegah was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-56 to Jefferson. Hononegah has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Harlem scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Marian Central Catholic 81-39 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Harlem has managed all season.
Bo Beehler was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Mason Walsh was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists.
Hononegah's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-10. As for Harlem, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season.
Hononegah was able to grind out a solid victory over Harlem in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, winning 58-48. Does Hononegah have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harlem turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
