The Stansbury Stallions and the Durango Trailblazers will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Stansbury is hoping to put an end to a 14-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Stansbury had to suffer through a rough 73-45 loss at the hands of Hillcrest. Stansbury has struggled against Hillcrest recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jackson Hymer, who scored eight points. Tobi Johnson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Stansbury were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Durango has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 29 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 71-40 win over Juneau-Douglas on the road. The win was all the more spectacular given Durango's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 66th in Nevada, while Juneau-Douglas is ranked 18th in Alaska).
Stansbury's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Durango, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
