The New Hanover Wildcats put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Coastal Christian 51-13 at home. Considering New Hanover has won three contests by more than 24 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
New Hanover's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tamorie Wilson led the charge by scoring 8 points along with 4 steals. Wilson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Zirhe Sellers, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
New Hanover has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 4-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.33 points. As for Coastal Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
New Hanover will be playing at home against Cardinal Gibbons at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Coastal Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wilson Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on December 8th. Wilson Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Coastal Christian in North Carolina (Wilson Christian Academy is ranked 113th, while Coastal Christian is ranked 414th).
