The Woodland Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Fayetteville Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
It was a proper cat-fight when Woodland challenged Central of Coosa County on Thursday. The Bobcats blew past the Cougars 15-5. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Allie Puckett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Alyssa Taylor and Railey Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Williams went 2-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Taylor has posted over her last five contests. Kaitlyn Davidson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Fayetteville never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on Winterboro with a sharp 7-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.
Not much got past Lauren Cook, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep Winterboro off the board. Cook has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lucy Epperson was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Woodland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fayetteville, their record now sits at 8-10.
Fayetteville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Woodland has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .535. It's a different story for Fayetteville, though, as they've only averaged .329. Will they be able to contain Woodland's hitters?
Everything went Woodland's way against Fayetteville when the teams last played back in March, as Woodland made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
