After a string of three wins, the Belle Chasse Cardinals's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Archbishop Shaw. Belle Chasse has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Reeves, who scored 12 points. Maddux Parfait was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Belle Chasse's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-10. As for Archbishop Shaw, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belle Chasse will take on the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Shaw's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
