Utah State is on a roll when it comes to signing in-state quarterbacks.
Trevor Brown, who led perennial power Timpview to a fourth 4A state championship last December, is the latest to give the Aggies a verbal commitment. Jordan’s Alex Hart did the same last month.
BYU and LSU only offered Brown preferred walk-on status, while Kansas showed interest and Southern Utah offered a full-ride.
USU will have to wait, though.
Brown intends to serve a two-year LDS mission before enrolling at USU, which, in addition to Hart, also has a commitment from Hawaii product Jeremy Higgins, the younger brother of current Weber State signal-caller Cameron Higgins.
Brown rushed for 854 yards and 17 touchdowns for the Thunderbirds, while passing for another 2,185 yards and 23 touchdowns.
