The Frostproof Bulldogs waltzed into their matchup Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They took down Mulberry 78-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Frostproof was led to victory by Sevastian Rosado and Turral Berry. Rosado scored 19 points along with three steals, while Berry scored 27 points. The game was Rosado's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Jordon Hanrahan was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Frostproof's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Mulberry, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frostproof will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Oasis Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. Oasis Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 676th, while Frostproof is ranked 269th). As for Mulberry, they will head out on the road to face off against River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. River Ridge is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
